Kaikoura Fishing Tours
Kaikoura is the capital of fishing and crayfish in the South Island, and no-one knows better than Tomo. Book a Kaikoura Fishing Tour when you stay with us and our 5* chef can cook your catch at the end of the day.
Dolphin Encounter
The dusky dolphins are acrobatic, energised and graceful creatures and simply watching their typical behaviour of high leaps and somersaults, is sure to bring a smile to your face and transform your day from average to superb! Choose swimming or watching and immerse yourself in their world.
Surfing
NZ's premier surf breaks are within a 10km radius. From an amazing point break located only 3km from the house along with variety of playful beach boulder breaks. There are advanced breaks located to the north and south of the house. Ask for details with your hosts. Surfboards and wetsuits are available for hire on request prior booking. Lessons also available with an experienced guide.
Whale Watching
Every Whale Watch tour is a unique experience and the sightings vary. Giant Sperm Whales are the stars of the show and year-round residents. This unique marine experience also provides an opportunity to sight high-spirited Dusky Dolphins, the rare and endangered Hectors Dolphin, New Zealand Fur Seals and a wide variety of sea birds including the Royal Albatross.

Middle Hill MTB
World class riding where the mountains meet the sea - Middle Hill is a must for anyone who enjoys riding bikes down hills, with varying terrain and trail types to suit all abilities. Please book prior to your reservation with us.
Walks
Enjoy a walk along the beautiful Kaikoura Peninsula and meat with the seals, or take the track to the top of Mount Fyffe (1600meters high) or ask your host to guide you to the oldest Totara tree in NZ. Please book your guide before your stay.
Helicopter flights
Flight to Mount Fyffe and the surrounding mountains from our property, or above the ocean to look at the Sperm whales and play full pods of dolphins. Please book prior to your stay.
Mount Lyford
Enjoy fresh snow at the closest ski field. 1 hour only to the top of the mountain from the house. Mount Lyford is a great ski area with runs to suit all abilities. It's a friendly country ski field with plenty of options.
